Senior Editor

Role overview:

Project Blue provides market intelligence on critical materials and energy transition. Our global team, spread across six continents, provides data, analysis and insight to a range of clients including governments, financial institutions, tech firms, and automotive OEMs. We are seeking an experienced candidate with an editorial background to join our growing team and to ensure the quality of the company’s written materials. The Senior Editor will have two key areas of focus. The first is supporting the Head of Products in editing, and ensuring the timely delivery of, monthly product deliverables. The second is to work with our senior leadership, marketing division and global analyst team to produce news articles, opinion pieces and other marketing content. Project Blue is an industry-leading research provider, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape our research, insight and brand to a global audience.

Job responsibilities:

  • Review, edit, and proofread research documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to the company's style guide and standards.
  • Oversee the end-to-end publication process of a suite of Energy Transition products.
  • Produce news, opinion and other marketing materials both alone and in conjunction with the analyst team.
  • Work with the marketing team to provide copy for the website, email campaigns, social media and sales collateral.
  • Ensure all content complies with ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and the highest standards of academic integrity and research ethics.

Job requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; a master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in editing research documents, academic publications, or scientific content, preferably within a metals and mining or energy transition setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure the accuracy and consistency of complex technical and scientific content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
