Role overview:

At Project Blue, we provide market intelligence on critical materials for energy transition. Our focus is on understanding the complexities of rapidly evolving supply chains and translating this knowledge into accurate data, unbiased analysis, and expert insight to support industry and government decision-makers. We are seeking an editorial support staff member with experience editing, formatting, and managing advanced technical content to join our growing team to assist with our analytical and product development capabilities. You will work directly with our senior leadership and global team. Our team members are spread across six continents, serving a range of clients, including governments, financial institutions, tech companies, and automotive OEMs.

You will support Project Blue by:

  • Providing essential editorialS and administrative assistance to our analysts and operations team.
  • Improving content flow and readability while retaining the analyst’s voice and personal style.
  • Ensuring the timely publication of content across various media environments.

Job responsibilities:

Editing
  • Keep up to date with industry developments relevant to your commodity markets and downstream sectors.
  • Correct typos and grammatical errors and mark unnecessary or confusing passages for revision. You will also be expected to validate content when necessary. All content must be error-free and well-written.
  • Contribute to the development of databases and hone data analytics and forecasting techniques, working closely with our senior team.
Formatting
  • Format and finalise research products to ensure consistency with company style guides and branding standards.
  • Prepare client-ready materials by applying clear layout structures, accurate referencing, and visual polish across charts, tables, and text.
  • Collaborate with analysts and designers to improve the readability, clarity, and visual impact of written outputs across digital and print formats.
Delivery
  • Work with our Head of Products, Senior Editor and the global analyst team to manage the timely delivery of materials for editing and formatting.
  • Ensure database and product uploads are completed promptly to a high standard of quality, working closely with our senior team.
  • Work with our marketing and operations teams to ensure that research product delivery is communicated to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree/minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant field (e.g. journalism, communications, geology, finance, economics, chemistry, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Exposure to publication cycles and processes within a professional environment, preferably working with an international client base.
  • Proven experience working with multiple style guides.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in editing and formatting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines while producing high-quality, professional deliverables.
  • Proven ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes as needed.
